Help the Winnemem Wintu build a Roundhouse
Donation protected
The Winnemem Wintu is a people born out of Mt. Shasta in present day northern California with the gift of caring for the salmon and water. We are excited to share that we will be building our first ceremonial roundhouse or Tłut in over 100+ years. Much prayer, thought, and consideration has lead the tribe into accepting this gift of great responsibility in building such an important part of land stewardship. We are delighted to be sharing this honor with all of you.
Inside of the roundhouse is where we hold ceremony for creation herself and is an all encompassing prayer down to the community level where we are lifted and supported in our healing journeys. In our view and intention, everyone and everything benefits from this sort of sacred endeavor and people representing all parts of the world will be a part of this.
Fire and Water have been out of balance and the Earth has been giving out warnings for quite some time. It is now time for us to raise our standard in elevating the sacred. All of creation needs us to do our part at this time.
Please reach out if you would like to know more.
Funds will be used to buy and gather all materials, tools, equipment rentals, fuel, and to support workers in their dedication in constructing this building in a prayerful way.
We would like to start building as soon as possible right after the rainy season when the soil is soft and easier to work with. The people and the land have much healing work to do and for this reason getting the Tłut up before fall of next year would be ideal. The world is shifting and we aim to shift and ride the wave right on time with it.
This would mean so much for us to complete this roundhouse. It is one of our highest callings. We are helping our past, present, and future generations heal in cosmogeneological alignment with natural law through this way.
Would you join us?
We are so grateful for your support. This is is perhaps the grandest thing we as a tribe have taken on so far, so much so that we couldn't possibly share everything there is to say about it on this platform. However we aim to give updates and follow through with what we have set out to do. In sacred alliance, thank you all so much.
