Help the Wittmer Family with medical expenses
Donation protected
Our beloved friend, sister, and community member of Nikiski, Koleen Wittmer, has recently been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer with limited treatment options. She is currently receiving available treatment in Dallas and is looking into additional treatment options and available trials from MD Anderson as well as seeking alternative treatments at IBC Hospital in Mexico. Insurance does not cover the additional testing required by MD Anderson or the treatments in Mexico.
As so many of us know, medical expenses can quickly take a toll on the family unit and the ability to maintain quality health care. This can exhaust resources in the most financially prepared of families. Her and her husband both worked full time while raising 4 beautiful and active children at the time of receiving her diagnosis. Her husband is currently maintained his position at his job insisting on providing for his family. This puts him 3 weeks out at a time away from his wife during her treatments. The funds donated will allow for far greater care for the existing journey ahead and support the incredible sacrifice financially the family is making to receive the proper care.
With this news being so fresh and impactful and as some know, shocking, we will provide information as well as possible. We will update as needed, this journey she is taking, so to respect the love given through gofundme.
The family appreciates prayers for comfort and strength for the race ahead.
Thank you in advance to those who read this and pray or give. Both are powerful and appreciated.
