Help the Wyatt’s with their fight against cancer

Hey friends and family of Rod Wyatt. He and his family are still in a battle against cancer! Rod and Trinisha were hesitant to let Spencer and I start a GoFundMe for them but we know it’s necessary and will hopefully allow them to live life with just a little less constant stress.
Rod is starting his 8th year of battling cancer. He has had 4 surgeries during that time to remove cancer from various organs. The first time was stage 4 colon cancer that had moved to his liver. The 2nd time was a recurrence in his liver then they found the cancer had spread to his lung. He had radiation in December 2021 that kept his scans clean for a year but then it came back in January 2023. During his last surgery to remove part of his lung they found cancer cells in his pleura which is the sac around the lung. They scraped out as much of the cells as they could but they know there are still cancer cells left behind. Rod was told that radiation and surgery are not an option to treat the Pleura.
Rod’s Oncologist is recommending that they wait until the cancer grows enough to show up on a CT scan and then begin treating it with chemotherapy. Even though Rod and Trinisha respect their Oregon doctors they don’t want to just wait until the cancer gets bad enough to show up on a scan. They want to be proactive and get a few 2nd opinions. Rod went to Houston Texas last weekend to get more scans and a 2nd opinion. They are also meeting with OHSU next month and looking into possible alternative options.
Rod has medical insurance to help with some of his basic cancer treatments, however, there are some treatments that don’t qualify for insurance. Also, the travel for more scans, along with extended stays, 2nd opinions and clinical trials are not paid for by his insurance.
We know that Rod and Trinisha really appreciated the financial assistance they have received in the past. If you would like to help them by donating it would be greatly appreciated. If not, would you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers and share this link.
Sincerely,
Spencer & Kim Williams
