Help the Yahya Family Recover from a House Fire

On April 27, 2024, the Yahya family suffered a devastating fire leading to their home and belongings being destroyed. Luckily, all members of the family are safe following treatment for smoke inhalation. The investigation is ongoing, but the cause is believed to be electrical.

My name is John Sheppard and I first met Khalid Yahya as a student of the Association for New Canadians, Build your Future Construction Trades Training Program. Khalid stood out as a dedicated student, and I was to happy hire him as a Carpenter Apprentice with Allied Construction Management. Khalid has worked with Allied for a year and a half and has become a valued member of the team and a friend to many.

Khalid and Khadiga have 5 beautiful children, Wala, Wiam, Omer, Waad, and Omran, who he affectionately refers to as his 'Newfie'. Although they have lost their home and belongings, they remain positive.

The Yahya family are now Newfoundlanders & Labradorians. Let's do what we do and help them get back on their feet.
