Help the Yoder Family After Tragic Loss

On behalf of the David and Laura Yoder family, they have authorized me, Kim Thompson, to establish a GoFundMe to help them pay for medical expenses for their son and funeral expenses for their daughter.

Wednesday morning, March 26, tragedy struck this family once again when two of their children were rear-ended at a high rate of speed while on their way to school in their buggy. Their 8-year-old daughter died on the scene, and their son was severely injured and remains in the hospital. This horrific event has touched the entire Amish community nationwide and has touched the rest of us as well. Those of us that know the family can attest that there are no finer, kinder people than the Yoders.

Funds are needed for medical and funeral expenses as well as providing a funeral meal for the estimated 800+ Amish that will gather for the funeral on Saturday, March 29th. Please help in any way you can. Updates will be provided on the You Know You're from Lawrence Facebook group.

UPDATE: Due to the surgery required on Thursday, March 27, medical expenses will be significantly higher than originally thought. The goal has been increased accordingly. THANK YOU to everyone for your generosity!
