Help the Zambrano family as Xavi fights!

Dear friends and family,
As you may have heard, Xavi at just 1 month old has been fighting for his life the past 6 days. I sit helplessly by as Brianna and Oskar navigate through this, wishing there was something I could do. Little did we know when he caught a cold that pneumonia would settle in to his tiny body, wracking him with coughs and a struggle to breathe.
Rather than helplessly sit by, I have created this fundraiser to assist the Zambrano family in covering the urgent medical expenses required for Xavier's treatment. Your generous contribution will play a vital role in ensuring that Xavier receives the necessary care and treatment to overcome this critical condition. This gives us an outlet for our support of Brianna and Oskar to be tangible, even from afar.
Xavier's Story:
Just a week ago, Xavi caught a cold that his small body didn't have the capacity to fight it off. As a pediatric nurse, Brianna had the benefit and burden of knowing how serious respiratory distress can be in an infant. They rushed him to the only hospital in the area with the staff and medical equipment to support Xavi in this crisis, which is about an hour from their house (if traffic cooperates). Xavi was wisked away to the NICU and has remained there since. For the first several days, Brianna and Oskar could only visit twice a day for a short time. The pain of watching a child struggle to breathe is beyond comprehension.
The ups and downs of this past week have taken their toll. Housing close to the hospital had to be found for the family, care for Ximena, transport back and forth to Moyo, all coming with a price that has continued to add up.
As of today, Xavi has officially graduated from constant high flow oxygen and his stats are holding steady. While not out the woods completely, improvement is happening and we couldn't be more grateful!
Due to his young age, Xavier's immune system is not yet fully developed, making him more susceptible to the severe effects of pneumonia. The need for specialized treatments, medications, and constant monitoring is pressing. However, the mounting medical expenses have placed a significant financial strain on the Zambrano family, and will continue as Xavi will spend at least a couple more days in the hospital NICU. The average hospital stay is anywhere from $1000-$2000 PER DAY, and does not include the $10,000 deposit that was required to admit him.
As you can imagine, this has added up quickly over the past week. I would love for the burden and stress of finances to be one less thing Brianna and Oskar have to worry about as they support Xavi, Ximena and each other.
How You Can Help:
Your support from afar can make an incredible difference in Xavier's journey towards recovery. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help alleviate the burden of medical expenses and ensure Xavier receives the best possible care. Here's how you can help:
1. Medical Expenses: Your generous donations will directly assist in covering Xavier's mounting medical costs, including hospital stays, diagnostic tests, specialized medications, and consultations with pediatric specialists.
2. Urgent Treatment: Xavier's condition requires specialized care to combat the severity of his pneumonia. Your contributions will enable us to pursue all available treatment options, giving Xavier the best chances for a full recovery.
3. Emotional Support: Though we may be far away, your kind words, prayers, and messages of encouragement will provide solace and strength to our family during this challenging time. Your support will remind us that we are not alone in this fight for Xavier's health and well-being.
Please Help Spread the Word:
In addition to your generous donations, I kindly ask you to share Xavier's story and this fundraising campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. By spreading the word, we can reach more compassionate individuals who may be willing to contribute or offer support. Together, we can make a significant impact on Xavier's journey to recovery.
