Help the Zoller family rebuild their home
Donation protected
Hi my name is Olivia and I am fundraising for my sister and brother-in-law (Isabella and Jack Zoller). They recently purchased their first home on September 29, 2021 but do not take possession of the home until October 30th. Only days after closing, on October 8th, their new home was destroyed by a catastrophic rain storm that flooded their basement. The couple did not even get to enjoy even one day in their new home before the storm. Isabella and Jack recently got married in July of 2020, they have been very excited to purchase their first home to start a family in. After months of looking for the perfect house they finally found it. The house has a lovely backyard for their two dogs, enough bedrooms for their family to grow, and space for them both to work from home comfortably. Isabella and Jack put their life savings into their first home. The basement was a completely finished walkout with a kitchen, office, bathroom, storage and living area. On October 8th, the yard flooded and the force of the water broke the sliding door to the basement. The result was 6 feet of standing storm water, ripping the fridge and the tv right off the walls. The damage is not only to the beauty of the basement, but also to all of the Zollers' utilities. The electrical panel, furnace, and hot water tank were submerged and completely damaged. The Zollers will have to completely rip out the entire basement down to the studs and replace everything. The insurance company has denied their claim, and they will have to pay out-of-pocket to clean up and restore the basement. The demolition alone will cost the Zollers over $30,000 and to rebuild their basement back to what it was it could cost upwards of $75,000. We are hoping for even the smallest donations, anything to help this new family get back on their feet!

Here are some of photos of the flood, at the bottom you will see what the basement originally looked like. In the photos, you can see the water line on the wall- showing us just how far the water entered the basement.
