Help Thea Barnes!

Hello, along with a group of longtime friends, I am creating this page to help the lovely Thea Barnes. In September, Thea started to intermittently experience pelvic pain. She saw two doctors over the next few weeks, and both passed it off as constipation. A couple of weeks later, doubled over in pain and throwing up, she was taken to the Emergency in Montreal. On 20 October 2022, Thea was diagnosed with colon cancer. Surgery was scheduled for the next day. It was then discovered that she also had a tumor in her lower intestine, and another tumor was found in her liver. A treatment plan was decided but halted upon the discovery of yet another tumor--this time in her lungs.

The current plan is to start chemotherapy and have surgery to remove 80% of her liver--if the surgeon feels this is the best course of action. After one round of chemo and surgery, Thea hopes to travel to Kelowna where she will continue with chemo and radiation. At this point, Thea has been given 3-12 months to live.

As you know, Thea is a beautiful and kind being; she is a mom to three adult children: Tristan, Bianca, and Zach (ages 27, 29, and 32), and a daughter, sister, and friend to many. Thea wants to return home to Kelowna (from Montreal) to get healthy but is struggling financially. This is where you can help. Any financial support to bring Thea home and get her set up so she can get treatment and heal would be very much appreciated.
