Help Theia Escape Domestic Abuse

Hey y’all,

I recently had to quickly escape my abusive ex and her home. Since then, I’ve been without stable housing for myself and my dog Bayou. I’ve been couch surfing since the beginning of the month and living out of moving boxes. I paid out a significant amount of money to rent a spare room in an apartment locally but it is not a good environment for me to be in after escaping domestic abuse. My resources are running low and I’m exhausted from the pain all this moving has caused my body.

I’m a disabled trans woman who is awaiting more treatment for debilitating back injuries and I’m in the process of applying for more aid. I can’t lift more than 20 pounds without being in immense pain and risking falls.

I’m needing to find housing that’s safe for me. I’m working on finding a foster for my dog Bayou while he’s unsafe here and my situation is unstable. I’ve been unable to work for much of the past year bc of my back injuries and so I don’t have any resources left to pull from to help me get out of this situation.
