Help Theresa Beat Lung Cancer
Donation protected
All those who are blessed to know Theresa knows what a kind, caring, and loving person she is. She is a wonderful mother to her daughter Piper with whom she travels along with her mother on the weekends to cheer competitions. Being a great mother and always being there for her daughter is very important to her.
Up until September of 2018, she was a single mother. Then she met the love of her life Jon. They got engaged August of 2019. Theresa was the happiest she's ever been, planning their wedding for August of 2020.
She's been quite busy working, traveling for cheer competitions, and planning the wedding that when she started having right sided upper back pain on January 15, 2020 she just assumed it may be kidney stones or possibly pneumonia.
She was feeling worse and started vomiting and her mother suggested that she should go to the ER on January 17th . The ER instructed her to follow up with her PCP on January 20th. They ordered a PET scan on January 21st.
Theresa's world has been turned upside down when the PET scan revealed masses/tumors in Therea's lungs and also something wrong with her heart. The doctor delivered the devastating news that Theresa has lung cancer (possible stage 3). However, they're uncertain if it's stage 3 and need to do surgery to remove the mass in her lung and to biopsy it.
The doctors can't perform the surgery until they figure out exactly what is wrong with her heart beforehand because it's unsafe to perform surgery if there's something serious going on with her heart. She's scheduled to have an MRI done on February 28th to figure out what's going on before moving forward with any other procedure to diagnose what stage her lung cancer is and what course of treatment they should move forward with.
The doctor has now ordered Theresa to take a medical leave from work. So at this point she is not working.
We're wanting to help her anyway possible with any costs she may have to pay that are not covered by her insurance; doctor bills, cost of treatment, medications, or even just regular every day costs that she may have that she can't pay because she's not working.
Any contribution toward her cause is much appreciated. All contributions will go directly to Theresa for her to use to pay for any costs that she acquires through her fight to beat lung cancer.
Let's help Theresa beat lung cancer together!
Everyone please share Theresa's story and her GoFundMe page with as many people as you can.
Thank you for your support!
