Help Theresa & James Rebuild After Tragic House Fire

Hi, my name is Diana DeMarco, and I am reaching out on behalf of Theresa & James Sangillo. Earlier this year, Theresa celebrated her 95th birthday with hopes of continuing to live out her days in the home her late husband Eugene built for their family 50 years ago at 419 Morris Ave. in Spring Lake NJ. This cherished home holds decades of memories, where Theresa raised her children, Michael & James, and where her own mother peacefully passed away at the remarkable age of 107.

Tragically, on May 11th, their lives were forever changed when a fire broke out in the early hours of the morning. James, awakened by the flames, acted swiftly to ensure his mother's safety, but they could only watch as their beloved home succumbed to the blaze. Despite the valiant efforts of multiple fire departments, hindered by power lines entangled with the trees, the fire quickly escalated to three alarms, leaving nothing but ashes and devastation in its wake.

However, while Theresa and James are thankful to have escaped unharmed, they now find themselves with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Theresa's journey began in Italy at the age of 18, and for more than half a century, she has called Spring Lake her home, contributing to its vibrant community. Now, with their home reduced to rubble and no homeowners insurance, Theresa and James face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
