Help These HS Seniors Visit the House of Allah
Donation protected
Our mission is simple. We are a group of six high school students set to graduate June of 2024. We have all known each other in some form since 8th grade, and have since learned to love each other as only brothers can.
With graduation fast approaching, we wish to conclude our studies and begin our college journey in the best way possible. We wish to end four long years of high school with a means of forgiveness for all past sins, reward for our present actions, and blessing for any future endeavors. We wish to visit the birthplace of Islam–the religion that means everything to us as people.
In short, we wish to go on ‘Umrah.
‘Umrah, the holy pilgrimage, is one of the purest acts of religious devotion. To travel far and wide to foreign lands only at the command of your Lord is a true show of belief. We can understand why helping a brother is beneficial, why donating to a homeless man is important. But to sacrifice large sums of money to travel to a desert, visit a few mosques, walk around a box, run between two mountains? We cannot rationally understand its importance. And this is why ‘Umrah is of the greatest deeds we can perform,
We humbly request that you donate to this cause. No matter how much you can give, every dollar you put forth will bring us one step closer to the house of Allah. Every dollar you offer us today could be a means of intercession for you on the Day of Judgement, as Allah wills. What greater act could there be than to usher forth members of the next generation to Allah’s doorstep? Every dollar you donate is symbolic of the toil and trial of past generations in ensuring their progeny’s future. As one, our group thanks the people of the past for all their efforts, and ask of them their help, one last time, in our final steps to adulthood.
5/9/2024: UPDATE:
Today is the day.
Thanks to the generous donations and immense efforts of everyone listed on this website, we are going to ‘Umrah.
Words fail us. We are just hours away from boarding the plane to the birthplace of Islam. There, six students on the cusp of entering the collegiate system will enter the Haramayn al-Sharifayn. We will fall in prostration to the Ka’bah, the house of worship constructed millennia ago by the Prophet Ibrahim. We will circle the Blessed House of Allah as millions of Muslims have done before us. We will bow down in worship in the blessed Masjid of the Prophet. We will stand before the resting place of the Beloved Messenger of Allah, may Peace and Blessings be upon him. Allah willing, we may even pray within the Rawdah.
You gave us literally thousands of dollars—each and every one hard-earned—and we have so little to offer in turn. All we can offer is one thing: our thanks.
Thank you for taking the chance on us: — six graduating students with a dream we never thought we’d achieve.
Thank you for funding us to literal, metaphorical, and spiritual heights.
Thank you for allowing us the experience of a lifetime—what may potentially become the means of our eternal salvation.
Thank you, one and all.
You will forever be in our du’as.
