Help an Immigrant Mother and her Daughters Stay Connected
Help an American family being separated by our immigration system
Alejandra Juarez came to the United States 20 years ago as a teenager. She has built her life in Florida with her US Military Veteran husband and two US Citizen daughters Pamela (16), and Estela (8). Alejandra is the wife of Former Marine Sgt. Cuauhtemoc "Temo" Juarez who deployed to Iraq as a member of the Florida National Guard. She has no criminal record and is a pillar of her community.
Here is an update on Alejandra’s case:
Unfortunately, on June 19, despite hundreds of calls from community members including Alejandra’s pastor and church community to #KeepAlejandraHere, ICE denied Alejandra Juarez’s request to stop her imminent deportation but did temporarily delay her deportation. On August 3, after working with 28 different lawyers to try and earn legal status, she will be deported to a country she hasn’t visited in two decades.
A new stay of removal request has been submitted on Alejandra’s behalf but her future in America is uncertain.
At this difficult time for Alejandra and her family, we hope that our community can continue to show up and support by donating any amount ($5, $20, $100) to a fund for the family. Alejandra has to move her entire life as well as her young daughter to Mexico, a country where she has no ties or support system, while her other daughter must remain in the U.S. working to support her father, who has a roofing business. They will also need to buy plane tickets to try to reunite in Mexico every few months so that their family isn’t completely destroyed. Despite our broken immigration system this family is trying to stay connected. Please help us to raise funds for Alejandra and her two girls, so that they feel less alone and are supported in this terrible time for their family.
