Help this young Water Protector get to the UN

Donation protected
Autumn Peltier, 14  is a Canadian water activist and she advocates for clean water in First Nations communities and across Mother Earth. Autumn was named the chief water commissioner of the Great Lakes by the Anishinabek Nation, following in the footsteps of her Great Aunt Josephine Mandamin.

She comes from Wikwemikong First Nation/Manitoulin Island and is from Ojibway/Odawa heritage. Autumn has travelled far and wide to carry the message of the importance of clean water and the Sacredness of Water. She was recently nominated for the 2019 International Children’s Peace Prize for her work to protect water and Mother Earth.

Autumn spoke at the United Nations General Assembly last year and is scheduled to do so again next week (Sept. 28th) in NYC joining fellow youth activist Greta Thunberg at the UN. Autumn does not have Greta's high global profile and the support that comes with it. She and her mother, Stephanie Peltier, need financial support for their trip to the United Nations in NYC and Autumn's mission to advocate for clean drinking water around the world.

I have set up this Go Fund Me campaign at the urging of Aunty Ivy Smith, who is traveling to the United Nations to support and protect Autumn and Greta as they carry on their missions. Aunty Ivy is urging us to stand together in support of all efforts to strengthen our connection to Mother Earth.
