Help those Affected by the Flood in Afghanistan

Afghanistan, Just as we thought it could not get any worse for the poverty-stricken people of this war-ravaged nation. Flash flooding on Wednesday killed dozens, injured hundreds, and left thousands without food and shelter across the region with the province of Parwan in the north hit hardest.
Given the recent increase in violence by the Taliban, now those affected by the flooding have another major cause for concern. They have the very difficult task of protecting their families who are left out in the mud in a very insecure environment, and providing food and clean drinking water for their children who were already vulnerable and exposed to the harsh realties of the never-ending war. Their dire situation has been exacerbated by the overnight rainfall-induced floods resulting in tragic loss of life and inflicting injuries on those who have survived.
While the initial death toll was reported to be 200, its believed that hundreds are trapped in their collapsed homes, missing, and unaccounted for. The national office for disaster management says that at least 1500 homes have been destroyed in Charikar, Parwan province. Most of the casualties are women and children, including entire families swept away while asleep.
Now, as a natural and humane response in such disasters is to act immediately and provide the basic needs such as food, drinking water, and sanitation for the victims. That being the cause, I have set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds and contribute to the relief efforts. Having seen shocking footage and images from the divested region, I fear for the well-being and survival of the victims, especially children. Therefore, I appeal to friends, families, and those who are able, to contribute to this noble, humane, and rewarding cause and save lives.
Funds Allocation, Food Package Distribution and Transparency:
Having served in Afghanistan as a federal contractor side by side with the US military for many years, I have built strong relationships with credible people who will selflessly assist in reaching to the victims and distribute food packages. I will be provided with the breakdowns, the list of the families assisted, and photographs from the scene.
I sincerely hope that as many people as possible contribute to help the victims in this very painful and difficult time for them.
