Help our 100 year old Tia Dulce Restore Her Beloved Home

Hello everyone, my name is Michelle Magro and I want to help my Tia Dulce. My husband, Jamy is her great nephew. Tia Dulce is 100 years old and widowed. We started a GoFundMe for our Tia who lives in Tampa. Her home sustained major damage during Hurricane Milton. She is currently displaced and we do not know when she can return home. She left with a car-full of her personal belongings, as that is what was left after the water receded. She has lost all of her furniture, appliances, and air/heating system. So far 4 feet of drywall has been removed from the entire house. She is losing her kitchen and bathroom fixtures, as well as wood paneling on the outside of her home.

She had no flood or homeowners' insurance due to her fixed income which makes insurance unafforable.

My Tia is an extraordinary woman who is kind, loving and provides a good life for her twin boys who she provides care for.

Our Tia immigrated to the United States 60 plus years ago from Cuba. She is proud to be an American citizen. She has lived in her home for over 50 years and wants to live the rest of her life there. When my husband immigrated here with his family, Tia Dulce provided a place for them to stay as they adjusted to their new life in the states. We now want to help her rebuild her home.

She is 1 of 15 children. She and our 105-year-old Yaya continue to be the matriarchs of our family.

As a family we will help re -store her home but her financial needs are far greater than we originally thought.

All donations collected will go towards purchasing supplies, and hiring contractors once the home is safe for her return we will need to re-furnish her home.

While we know many people are facing the same devastation from the hurricane, our hope is to gather as much support and help for our Tia and her sons during this extremely challenging time. Anything helps, no amount is too small. Sharing does not cost anything. Please Share.
