My name is Shayla Cabrera, known as your TiaPlanta. I founded this business as a one woman team during Covid and after only two years of operating have expanded into being able to employ an incredible team of six. We were recently voted the best plant shop and best Covid-born business of 2021 in Jersey City.

Our success couldn't have been possible without the community that's created the very fabric of TiaPlanta. We became a leader in education, rooted ourselves in advocating for marginalized people, and built a community of plant lovers. One of our greatest accomplishments, has been opening our plant shop and bringing life to an abandoned police kiosk in the heart of McGinley Square, Jersey City. We have grown stronger as a company and community despite the hardships that we previously faced at our kiosk shop at 722 Montgomery Street.

Which brings us to why we are here today, we are seeking funds for our businesses expansion. Our goal is to have greater access resources in order to give back locally to those who need it the most.Our vision is to be able to share our profits within the community by creating social programs for the adolescence, providing resources for local non-profits, and helping Jersey City families.
