Help Tiffani and Muppet Find a New Home

To those who might not know me, my name is Tiffani. I'm 37, and I have a beautiful 5-year-old cat named Muppet, whom I have had since he was 8 weeks old. I have lived in my apartment for the last 9 years; however, as of December 31st, 2024, Muppet and I will become homeless. Recently, my two roommates unexpectedly ended their relationship and broke the lease, leaving me unable to afford the rent and with only 2 months to figure something out. I have tried to find a roommate and have had quite a few other folks try to spread the word, but everyone I have spoken to either cannot be around cats (allergies) or where they live will not accept cats. Muppet is family, and I cannot just so easily give him up. It would genuinely destroy me.

I had some savings put away, but I ended up needing to use all of it on a down payment for a new vehicle after my 2006 Subaru was deemed not worth the work that was needed during my car inspection this past October. I work between 40-56 hours a week and deliver UberEats when I can, but despite this, I am not making enough to afford my current rent, plus utilities, my car/insurance payments, and save for first month's rent/security deposit elsewhere.

I realize that I'm asking for a lot and I honestly don't expect to receive even a fraction of the amount, but I really need help to get into a new apartment by the end of next month, and to get back on my feet after being hit with so much financial strain at once. Winter is coming and very harsh in the Northeast, and I'm terrified we will end up in my car.

Please help if you can, or at least share with others if you can't.
