Help Tiffany Overcome Premature Ovarian Failure
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Tiffany but to so many I’m Ms. Rouse. For years I’ve been a dedicated educator, enriching the lives of children and just as I turned 30, my life changed. I had no menstrual cycle, and oddly, a positive pregnancy test. This prompted more and more testing and visits to figure out why my hormone levels were so high to give a false positive and where was Aunt Flo?. In May 2022, I was finally diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure also known as early menopause.
While this determined that I would never have children of my own, it also imposed on me many body changes that have increasingly become unbearable. The weight gain, frequent urination, insomnia and hot flashes, just to name a few. Since 2022, I’ve spent countless hours and money researching my symptoms and diagnosis. The expenses of specialists, trainers, tests, creams, patches, sprays, and have brought costly and temporary relief.
While this diagnosis is irreversible, there are more advanced treatments that will give me comfort, subsiding my symptoms completely as it’s tailored directly to what my body needs. Knowing the better success rates, I didn’t consider due to costs. As I reflect, I wish I did. I think about the times I’ve spent my own money on items for my classroom or my students that I could’ve put towards it instead. But that’s the thing about educators, we’re selfless.
Since POF affected my life, I feel like I’ve been on pause. To be in my early 30s experiencing what women twice my age go through has robbed me of my joy.
If I could get bio-identical hormone replacement therapy I could find joy again. This would offer direct absorption into my bloodstream. Small pellets are inserted to give a consistent feeling of relief from all the symptoms of menopause.
Unfortunately, many insurance companies do not cover hormone replacement therapy of this magnitude. Your donation would help me get BHRT procedures done this summer.
