To start, my name is Tiffany Coles, I live in Philadelphia, and I am 26 years old. When I was 16 years old, I was injured while being a passenger in a motor vehicle accident. From that accident, I was diagnosed with an amplified pain disorder called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome that initially affected my right (dominant) arm; and then spread throughout my body.
Fast forward to 2020, I was plagued with Adenomyosis and Endometriosis — two incredibly painful conditions that affect those assigned female at birth. Offered only a hysterectomy for the adenomyosis and after undergoing two surgeries and more for endometriosis, my body has been through the medical ringer.
Diagnosed now with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Migraine, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pelvic Pain and as of June ‘24, Kidney Disease— my permanently disabled mother has been my sole caregiver and provider for me since 2020. We’ve done our best to sustain, and I am currently in the process of my second SSDI appeal, however we are in need of the support of our community to pay for things like medical expenses, hospital parking fees, food, rent, and household bills.
