Memorial services for Antonio Tillman Lozano

Donation protected

*Update*

Unfortunately as most of you know, we lost Tillman on the morning of November 16th. While we are all devastated, we find peace knowing that he is no longer suffering. We are so grateful for all of your donations, and we now plan to use the money for his memorial services. We will be having one in Grand Junction, and one in his hometown, Miami, with his family to celebrate his life. Should there be any leftover money, we plan to donate it to an important charity close to Tillman. If anyone is uncomfortable with the new purpose of the donations, Go Fund Me will reach out to you for acquiring a refund. We want to thank you all again for being so generous, and helping support Tillman. We are saddened that we did not get to use the donations for the original purpose, but are excited to give Tillman the celebration of life he deserves.

My brother Tillman has been struggling with a terminal illness since about 15 years old when he was first diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Over the past 10 years, it has progressed into an undiagnosed autoimmune disease that even international geneticists and specialists could not figure out. This disease has left him stuck in a hospital bed, unable to walk or move around. Tillman has a daily challenge of dealing with heart and neurological issues, chronic pain and dislocations, neuropathy, and constantly monitoring his breathing. When this first started as arthritis, he was still able to travel with us and enjoy his life, but it quickly transformed into something that has had him living in the lower level of our house. Usually  the only chance of movement he has is getting into a wheelchair to use the bathroom (even that is sometime too much movement). Since we never could have seen this coming, the house he lives in is not accessible at all for someone with these disabilities, and with us trying to move him around this house we’ve had several close calls. We have multiple split levels with stairs, tight halls and doorways. Our goal is to sell our current house and then find or build a one story, accessible home where he is able to move freely and go outside, and significantly improve his quality of life. I started this go fund me page because my family needs some financial help to move him into an accessible home. It breaks my heart to see how much of his youth and life my brother has lost, and I’m hoping to transform his quality of life, for however long he has left
