Help Tim and Shauna through this hard time

Dear Friends, We’re reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to helpThe Mullen Family Tim and Shauna and we need your help! You may have heard that Tim Mullen went into the hospital to have some hardware from a prior surgery removed, and three tears in his rotator cuff repaired and get a mass of Heterotopic ossification removed. They thought the surgery went well but unfortunately on his post op visit the PA took out his staples from the incision sites and said they looked good and then the doctor came in and said now for the bad news. He said that they had taken biopsies during the surgery and that the cultures had come back positive for a infection in the bone and the tissue around the bone. The surgeon set up a appointment with a infectious disease doctor who said Tim needed to get started on strong IV antibiotics Stat. They put the order in to the hospital closest to Tim but he never heard back from them so he called them and they didn’t take his insurance. Now they have it straightened out to go tomorrow morning to a different hospital for a procedure to have a pick line inserted into his chest.then if he doesn’t have any seizures and goes home tomorrow the home nurse and infusion company will be there to do his first infusion and give Shauna a refresher course on how to do the infusions and what to look for on the pick line site for safety. Then the home nurse will come by once a week to change the dressing’s for eight weeks. While Tim also will have to continue physical therapy twice a week for eight weeks. The main thing is getting rid of the infection in Tim’s body trying to avoid it from spreading and any amputation’s needed or letting his body go septic. If they are not gaining control of the infection they will have to do a debridement surgery and try cutting out more of this infection and flushing it with antibiotics. If they do clear the infection and Tim’s physical therapy works that’s the best outcome. If they clear the infection but Tim still doesn’t have range of motion and strength in the Arm than back to surgery for a full reverse shoulder replacement. The most heartbreaking thing for Tim and the family and a lot of us was finding out about the sudden passing of Golden Garth,Tim’s lifesaving service dog. As a matter of fact his procedure tomorrow will be the first one without Garth by or on his hospital bed. Lots to pray about but in the meantime The family is overwhelmed with medical bills that are still mounting up. Most people know insurance, will only pay a portion. We’re reaching out sticking our Ego’s under the bed and and trying to realize how many times we have helped others; The Good News: One of the ways you can demonstrate your love for Others is to be compassionate and caring towards those you encounter here on Earth. Even small gestures can mean a great deal to friends going through hardships. And that’s one thing that I believe is hard to give away, kindness because if you’ve truly surrounded yourself with the right people then it always comes back to you. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can’t donate please share this post. It means a lot!!
