Help Tim & Summer Overcome Stroke Challenges
Donation protected
When Tim Boland, a dedicated coworker of 25 years didn’t show up for work on Monday, February 24, his supervisor Ted, immediately knew something was wrong. He reached out to a family friend to do a welfare check and found Tim awake, but not responsive.
- Tim was quickly transported to the hospital, while their family friend FaceTimed his wife, Summer, who was out of town for work. Tim immediately recognized her voice and face.
Tim suffered from a left-sided stroke due to complications from high blood pressure. He underwent a hemicraniectomy to relieve the pressure on his brain and is currently facing significant physical and speech challenges, including being diagnosed with Wernicke aphasia, which affects his ability to understand and express speech.
Tim will need several months of rehabilitation. He has been transferred to an acute rehabilitation center where he will begin his journey to recovery. The road ahead will require immense determination and effort, but we all know that Tim has the strength to push through.
Although Summer is reluctant to ask for help, the overwhelming support from so many who want to assist has been a lifeline during this difficult time.
The Bolands could truly use any kind of support-financial or otherwise-so that Summer can focus on Tim’s recovery and navigate this sudden traumatic life-altering event.
Any contribution , no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated-from $20-$2000.
We all are holding onto hope that Tim will make a full recovery and that we we’ll soon see his infectious smile again.
Thank you for considering a donation. Please feel free to share this with anyone who knows Tim, Summer, his mom Linda, his dad Michael, his twin sister Jessica, and her husband Willem.
