Help Tim with expenses during recovery

Morgan, here
most of you don’t know but Tim was in a horrific work related accident a week ago, Friday, January 28th. It was very traumatic for him and we are just now feeling the shock wear off a bit. He was running a table saw when the board slipped and pulled his hand through on a job site, he was rushed by ambulance to a trauma hospital here in NYC and was in a level 4 trauma unit. The EMT said he played a huge part in saving his life by responding the way he did to the loss of blood and preventative measure he took while waiting for help. It all happened so fast and I was in the dark for quite a time before pleading my way into the ER and for answers. We had to make a lot of hard decisions very quickly because of the severity of his injury and how time sensitive reattachment is, also due to Covid protocol I wasn’t allowed to deliberate with him and support him as much as I would have liked. Long story short, Tim had to have his index finger on his dominant (right) hand amputated. He had emergency surgery following a lot of deliberation with multiple hand surgeons on what the options were. This requires the least amount of recovery and hospital stay, so he (with much sadness) agreed to have his finger amputated rather than a have an extensive (immediate) 7-8 hour surgery, 7-10 day hospital stay with intense therapy, 4 month physical therapy without work and a year of appointments IF everything went successfully- he will now be able to do therapy from home; his pain will be easier to manage and only be without work for a month - to a month and a half. He is battling a lot mentally, reliving the traumatic event that he went through completely alone and the anxiety of the return of working with the same power tools that maimed him. He is home and he is recovering, we are taking it one day at a time! We ask for prayers of peace as he navigates relearning a lot of day to day things, especially as a skilled carpenter. We also ask for prayers for support financially, as Tim is feeling a lot of pressure to return to work prematurely when the doctors have been very blatant with him about the precautions and the seriousness of his injury. Pray for peace of mind as these flashbacks are relentless and as he seeks council to ensure it does not turn into PTSD..... if you have taken the time to read this through, thank you. It means so much to us to have such a beautiful community of people who love us without conditions :)
we love y’all too
