Help Timmy Overcome Motorcycle Accident Trauma and Debt
Donation protected
On May 22, Timmy was hit by a negligent motor vehicle operator and severely injured in a motorcycle crash.
Traffic cameras and police confirmed the driver sped out of a parking lot and struck him. Timmy’s bike was only in first gear, but she hit him hard enough to send him and the bike flying down the road. His femur was exposed through his pant leg, and he lost so much blood on scene that the paramedic that put the tourniquet on his leg surely saved his life. The accident caused a broken femur, foot, shin, two breaks in his pelvis, and his collarbone. His kidney was lacerated, and urine was leaking into his body. He had a seizure when he got to the hospital. He was in a coma for 3 days with a breathing tube. Time stood still as we waited to see if he was going to survive. They couldn’t finish the police report for days until they knew he would live, and it wouldn’t be vehicular homicide. He went through 7 hours of surgery while they tried to stabilize his leg and kidney. They thought he might lose the kidney but were able to put a stint in and save it. The week he spent in the ICU was a blur. We watched him wake up in pain and scream from PTSD trauma stress. He is conscious and recovering now. We don’t have words to describe how grateful we are that he survived and didn’t sustain head or spinal injuries.
Despite having the best lawyer for Timmy unfortunately the driver at fault has no assets and he is actually going to wind up in debt. Her car insurance will only cover a small portion of his bills. There won’t be any compensation for lost wages, promotions he would have surely gotten with his work ethic, the severe emotional trauma stress, the arthritis that will inevitably set in his body, the list goes on. The person who did this has no remorse and despite police telling her and showing video evidence she blames Timmy! It’s unbelievable this can happen. We are heartbroken for him. Please help him move forward with a somewhat normal life by donating or sharing if you can’t donate.
Thank you very much.
For any of my Dad's friends that thought this was him, my apologies. His son, Tim Janik Jr. was the one who was in the accident.
A bear from his niece filled with love to watch over him.
