Help Tina Heal and Keep Her Family Afloat

HELLO ALL,

Tina is the matriarch of our family. She shows up for us in every way possible and is ready to accept anyone with open arms, even during the darkest of times. She and her loving partner Mike mean everything to us and many others. Recently, they have experienced a series of devastating events where we almost lost Tina. She is now healing, but now they are drowning in medical debt and are unable to work for stable income.

We are now writing this GoFundMe to help Tina. It is our turn to show up for her like she has for us countless times.

For the last couple months, Tina's health has been in decline. A workplace accident sent her to the doctor which led to the discovery of an array of health problems that needed treatment. Soon after the visit, Tina lost her job and her partner Mike got in a car accident that affected his ability to work. This caused a loss of health benefits and Tina was unable to have any kind of follow up with doctors like she needed to.

Tina and Mike have been working through their pain doing odd jobs just to try and stay afloat. Tina did find a new job and was set to start on Sunday, 7/21.

But then, disaster struck.

On Monday 7/15, Tina was hit with debilitating pain and went to the ER. Her doctors diagnosed her with sepsis, gallstones, and a severe UTI; they compared her gallbladder to a beanbag.

Tina was told that her only chance of survival was to immediately have her gallbladder removed. They scheduled surgery for the next day, 7/16.

After a successful gallbladder removal, Tina would then spend almost a week in the hospital fighting infection before finally being released on 7/20. She now has to spend another 4-6 weeks at home for recovery.

We are so grateful that she is now home and on the mend after this fearful time.

Due to her ordered bed rest, Tina is unable to start working her new job and cannot access steady income. With Mike now juggling caring for Tina while he is also still healing, he now has even more limitations to the odd jobs he can find.

On top of already struggling to stay afloat, they now have medical bills from Tina’s crisis.

Tina and her family are now asking for any kind of help for them before they lose so much. Tina is the most loving person that someone could be. She accepts everybody for anything and helps anyone to the best of her abilities, sometimes helping even if it sets her back individually. She reveres her family and loves us with all that is in her. We hate to see her struggle and just want to help.

We understand that this is a lot to ask during these times and would not do so if we felt we had any other choice. We will take any kind of offer of help that we can, and Tina will be forever grateful.
