Help Tina's Fearless Fight Against Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Recently, my family and I were all shocked and truly taken aback when, unexpectedly, our otherwise healthy Mom, Tina Cochran, suffered multiple seizures and had to be taken by Medi-Vac to CMC Main. After several nights in the hospital and many different tests, it was discovered that she has a brain tumor. Further testing determined that the tumor is cancerous. It is hard to even fathom something so unexpected of this magnitude but that is our new reality. The severity of our mothers’ brain cancer as well as the next steps in her fight and recovery process are to be determined as we await more test results.
Needless to say, this situation has left my siblings and I in shock as we pray for our moms’ health and safety. Moreover, the overwhelming and growing medical expenses are adding to the burden and the stress that she is facing. We feel helpless, as her children, as we want to protect our Mom and reduce the stress that she has to undergo. Unfortunately, we know that some things are out of our control.
She’s not one to easily ask for help and she has certainly overcome more obstacles than most people should have to and she’s done it with such grace and humility. Zach, Carlie and I can't take away the brain tumor but with your assistance maybe we can help to relieve some of her financial burdens. Our Mom is a single mother who supports herself financially. Depending on the final diagnosis, there will more than likely be an extended period of time where she is unable to work because of her treatment and inability to drive as a result of being diagnosed with epilepsy. We know this looming loss of income combined with her already massive medical expenses will, unfortunately but inevitably, cause her a great deal of stress.
For those of you who know our mom personally, there isn’t much that needs to be said in regards to her character and the person that she is. For those of you who don’t know her, she is simply put, one of God’s finest creations. She is an absolutely selfless and strong mother, a loyal and devoted friend, a caring sister, a beloved daughter, and an amazing brand-new grandmother to my son Beckham.
This particular challenge will be one of the most difficult we’ve ever had to face as a family and any help at all would be very much appreciated. We understand that the current state of the economy is making finances an issue for every family, not just ours. With that being said, if you can assist us in helping our Mom, we would be eternally grateful for any donation big or small.
If you’re unable to make a financial contribution then just know that all of your positive thoughts and prayers are equally and gratefully appreciated.
Thank you and God Bless, Tyler
