Help Tippy Survive and Recover

Tippy went from happy bouncy kitten everybody loved to a sad ill cat in critical condition faster than we would have ever imagined. Back in July she experienced lethargy, no appetite and a 104.2 fever that racked up a 2k+ bill. After multiple blood draws, ultrasounds and tests we never found the cause.

Whatever it was, came back to strike with vengeance in August.

again experiencing lethargy, no appetite but this time labored breathing. We took her to the vet only to be transfered to the ER with fluid buildup around her lungs. She was slowly suffocating from the amount of pressure.

Only after placing a tube in her chest to drain 160ml of fluid and placed on oxygen did she show any signs of improvement. It was heartbreaking watching her go through so much.

After a full day, she’s still having bacteria-filled fluid pumped out of her chest, still on oxygen, and now on IV antibiotics.

BUT: even with more tests and more X-rays than we could count, we still can’t pinpoint where or why this happened.

Its honestly terrifying knowing this may creep up again sooner than we think again.
