Tisha George Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
3/11/2023 UPDATE:
Tisha has spent the last several weeks at home on palliative care. She has a nurse that checks in often. She has been struggling with horrible headaches and double vision/nausea lately. She needs help with a daily caregiver. This is not cheap, so we are hoping to get more help in donations. Also, help with Door Dash gift cards would be appreciated. Thanks for keeping the family in your continued prayers.

2/6/2023 UPDATE:
They are discussing moving Tisha from the hospital to a rehab facility or home for rehab before going to palliative care. Donations are still needed to help with someone to stay with her if they decide to rehab her from home instead since Heath will still need to go to work. This is an expense they aren't prepared for. Thx for helping/sharing!

1/30/2023 UPDATE:
Tisha has decided to stop Chemo. It has been so hard on her fragile body. She is getting supplemental oxygen and supportive meds to help her stay comfortable. She is very exhausted still. Please keep Tisha, Heath and the girls in your prayers during this difficult time.

1/28/2023 UPDATE:
Took the girls up to visit Tisha. She was so happy to see them and got a lot of soul filling snuggles and luvins!

She's in a lot of pain. She doesn't have any real energy either, due to not being able to keep food down, so the Chemo is really over powering her. (White blood cells are way down.) She will decide if she wants to focus more on 'quality of life' vs fighting for more time here on Earth Sun or Mon, but we are getting closer to that choice I believe.

(If you choose to visit plz no flowers. They aren't allowed inside her room. THX!)

1/26/2023 (Emalee 10yrs & mom Tisha):
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to read through this. Tisha is a widow, mother, and friend. She lost her husband Brian to a motorcycle crash when their daughter, Emalee, was only 18mo old. Emalee is now 10yrs old and looks just like her daddy, with her mama's kind, and somewhat ornery, spirit! About 2 yrs ago (April '21) Tisha was diagnosed with a super aggressive breast cancer. She went through multiple Chemo therapy, lymphectomy, lymphnode removal, hair loss, etc... to kick cancers ASS and ring the bell for being Cancer Free Aug 2022!!

Wahooo! Life was good! She married her best friend Heath and she landed her DREAM JOB of working at the Girl Scouts Council! She was already a troop leader for both of her girls and now she could use her enthusiasm and creativity to run fun camps for the scouts at Starwoods!!! Once a Girl Scout, always a Girl Scout! ❤️
All was good...until it wasn't!

This past winter, only a few months after ringing the cancer free bell, Tisha was feeling sore in her collar bone and hip. Being cautious she went to get it checked out. The scans revealed there were masses in her hip, sternum, lung and lymphnodes. Her breast cancer had metastasized and she is now Stage 4.
Just like that her world was flipped upside down again! But she was ready to battle and fight for all the time she can get with her girls!! The dr offered her 2-3 yrs as a prognosis. She told me her goal was 10 yrs!! Go Tisha! GO!

While figuring out what the next steps to take would be her cancer Dr decided to do a biopsy of her lymphnode. A few days of nausea followed and she suddenly couldn't speak or write! We rushed her to the hospital where they ran numerous tests/scans/MRIs and could not find what was wrong. She was sent home.

A few days pass at home while she suffers more nausea and now blurred vision. Suddenly she couldn't walk or control her body. Again she went to the hospital by ambulance. Several more painful tests were run and it was determined the cancer had now also quickly spread to her spine and the sack around her brain. This was putting pressure on her brain.

Her cancer Dr consulted with a large number of oncologists from around the country who helped to decide giving her chemo in her spine directly would be the most beneficial and it seems to be helping, for now. She also had her port put back in and receives chemo pills. They are fighting this monster 3 different ways! She is still in the hospital and we are hopeful, but we also know her time on Earth with us is very limited. No matter how strong and awesome she is, no matter how much of a great mom or wife or friend she is, she is fighting a beast that is just to strong. We don't give up all hope, but are trying to prepare the girls as well as we can.
Tisha will be leaving behind her best friend Heath. He has been a solid rock for her through the past years. This will be so hard on him. She will be leaving behind her 13 yr old & 10 yr old daughters. This is a brutal thing for them to endure. They have a village trying to love on them currently, but they will all need help as this continues. Heath is missing work to rightfully be with Tisha at the hospital, so bills will be pileing up on them soon.
We are asking for donations to help through this difficult time and for the foreseeable future. There is a lot to take care of and funds are very limited. Tisha, Heath, Maddy and Emalee appreciate your support! Thank you!
