Help Tivo to Continue to Support His Family

Please check out the coverage on KGW8:
After your amazing efforts to help lift the Salazar family up in their time of need, John logged into his account one morning and saw it had been emptied by a predatory debt collector that had illegally garnished John's bank account. John's direct deposit funds were frozen and for almost 2 months he's been working 7 days a week without pay. Surviving on high interest credit cards, his bills have piled up without end in sight. Although the judgment has now been dismissed by the courts, the damage has been done.
Let's continue to support the Salazars through this challenging time and help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible. We can't right the wrong that was done, but we can band together to turn this situation around.

John 'Tivo' Salazar is a one-of-a-kind dude, and a personal inspiration to many of us. If you've followed his story over the last several years, you've seen him selflessly put much of his life on-hold to take care of his disabled brother David and aging mother Kathryn. Taking care of David is greater than a full-time job and ever-increasing responsibility, while over the last several months Kathryn's health declined.
Kathryn lost a quick battle with an aggressive cancer and passed away peacefully at home with family at her side. During this same time, David has been in and out of the hospital and is currently battling pneumonia. John has steadfastly stayed by their sides and made sure that both of them have had every need met to ensure their greatest comfort, as he always has done, without asking for any outside help and shouldering incredible burden with strength and enduring positivity.
Over the last several months, John has personally covered many expenses, and now has mounting bills to contend with to ensure that his brother has a stable home to return from the hospital to. He's carried this burden with courage and dignity, but with final arrangements, urgent home repairs, shouldering housing, and uncovered care expenses --- we're hoping that his friends and community will rally to support this quiet hero.
The ten thousand dollar goal here will cover a fraction of the personal debt that he's incurred in this journey, ensure that he and David have some runway in their current home, and make sure that utilities and other shared expenses are brought up-to-date. Anything additional will ensure go directly to household expenses in the coming months. Let's rally behind someone who selflessly helps others day after day.
