*Help Build the First South Indian Hindu Temple in Halifax, Canada!*

We are thrilled to embark on a monumental journey to establish the very first South Indian temple in Halifax, Canada. As a vibrant and growing community spread across North America, we understand the importance of having a sacred space where we can come together to worship, celebrate, and foster spiritual connections.

Why Halifax Needs a South Indian Temple?

Currently, there is a noticeable absence of a dedicated South Indian temple in Halifax, leaving many of us longing for a place to practice our cherished traditions and rituals. Since the inception of Atlantic Hindu Society(AHS) in 2017, AHS has been organizing various poojas, kalyanams, and abhishekham in temporary locations, it comes with its own set of challenges . From navigating changing venues to coordinating transit options and facing restrictions on attendance, the journey has been both rewarding and challenging.

Our Vision for the Temple:

To address these challenges and provide a permanent spiritual place for our community, we are excited to announce our plans to establish a temple in a rental space with a long-term lease . This space boasts convenient access, located on a public transit route, ample parking, and is wheelchair accessible. It will serve as a welcoming haven where individuals of all backgrounds can come together to seek solace and spiritual fulfillment.

Sannidhis Planned for the Temple:

The temple will feature dedicated Sannidhis for Vinayaka, Venkateswara, Siva, Muruga, Krishna, and a combined Sannidhi for Amman, Ayyappan, Anjaneya, Sita Rama, and Navagraha. These sacred spaces will serve as focal points for devotion and prayer, enriching the spiritual lives of all who visit.
