Help to create an inclusive Dutch Design Week expo

Hi!
We are 1m2 Collective; A platform to unite new design talent and highlight changes needed in the professional design field. Through positive protest and proactive research we aim to stimulate a more inclusive design industry.
The Dutch Design Week chose inclusivity as on of their themes for this year’s applicant, however how inclusive is the design festival itself?

For whom will 1m2 Collective be beneficial?
Imagine being a talented designer without the funds and/or network to participate in a design event like Dutch Design Week. Participating in an international design fair involves a financial barrier to entry - unfortunately this makes it not possible for everyone to participate.. With this knowledge, ask yourself the question: How inclusive are such design events? Our solution and statement to build awareness of this is to display as many designers as possible in 1m2 of ground space at the Van Abbe Museum during Dutch Design Week 2021. The designers showcased are selected by an independent jury. Our goal is to create a 1m2 exhibition that is as inclusive as possible and free of participation costs and with the ultimate goal to pay everyone involved fairly. That's where we need your help!
Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven is the largest design event in Northern Europe and presents work and concepts from more than 2,600 designers to more than 355,000 visitors from home and abroad.

What will your funds be used for?
In the case of this 1m2 everyone has worked for free, for the good of ‘The Greater Number.’ However this is not uncommon, many designers go unpaid for the time they put into exhibiting their work at Design Festivals.
In order of priority & goals:
Goal 1: €1500,- REACHED, THANK YOU!!
The exhibition space for the selected talented designers will be FREE! The funds will be used for professional communication of our message, the exhibition and its physical construction in the Van Abbe Museum, Eindhoven. Meet us at Dutch Design Week 2021, 16 - 24th of October, 11am-5pm
Goal 2: €10.212,-
Although the initiators & partners* are now working voluntarily, they will keep track of the hours they spend on the project and the associated costs to create a transparent overview of the actual costs of creating a 1m2 exhibition. All funds for goal 2 of this Go Fund Me fundraising will be divided fairly among them, with their time and effort paid for in whole or in part.
This is a total of 144 hours x €50,- excl. VAT (Fair practice code wage) = €7200,- excl. VAT // €8712,- incl. VAT
Goal 1 €1500,- + additional costs partners and initiators €8712,- = total goal 2 €10.212,-
* The initiators have worked 4 months (a total 333 hours) next to their full time jobs to make this research and exhibition possible.
*Initiators & Partners:
- 4 initiators, total of 333 hours (only 33,3% reimbursed in goal 2, 111 hours) €6716,- incl. VAT
- 5 jury members, total of 15 hours, €907,50 incl. VAT
- 1 curator, total of 15 hours, €907,50 incl. VAT
- 1 photographer, total of 3 hours €181,50 incl. VAT
Goal 3: €21.284,-
Although there was no participation fee, there was still work on the side of the 18 designers*. They had to take care of transport, insurance, attending meetings, answering e-mails, sign up for the open call, book time off to be present at design week and travel expenses. We would like to at least reimburse 4 of those hours, per studio, for their effort and hard work creating the pieces exhibited in this 1m2 and the time we asked from them.
Also we believe an other 33,3% off the initiators* work should be paid with the money is this goal.
Goal 2 €10.212,- + additional costs designers and initiators € 11.072,- = total goal 3 €21.284,-
*Designers 18 x 4 hours = 72 hours x €50,- excl. VAT (Fair practice code wage) = €3600,- excl. VAT // €4356,- incl. VAT
* The initiators have worked 4 months (a total 333 hours) next to their full time jobs to make this research and exhibition possible. 111 hours x €50,- = €5550,- excl. VAT // €6716 incl. VAT
Goal 4: €34.174,- or more
This 1m2 exhibition at Dutch Design Week 2021 had a total cost of € 28.242,32 excl. VAT // €34.174,- incl. VAT. The total amount of goal 4 includes everything to make this 1m2 possible. When this goal will be reached everyone has been fairly paid and we can speak of a financially inclusive 1m2 exhibition during DDW 2021.
In his goal we also added €5000,- excl. VAT // €6050,- Incl. VAT If we exceed the third and final goal the money will be used to keep spreading the message and to be present at the next major design event with the aim of continuing to provide an inclusive platform for talented designers.
Goal 3 + the rest of total amount = €34.174,-
* To cover the last 33,3% of the initiators hours we need an additional 111 hours x €50,- = €5550,- excl. VAT // €6716 incl. VAT
* Dutch Design Week after care €5000,- Excl. VAT // €6050,- incl. VAT
The total amount of goal 4 includes everything to make this 1m2 possible. When this goal will be reached everyone will be fairly paid and we can speak of a financially inclusive 1m2 exhibition during DDW 2021.
If we exceed the third and final goal the money will be used to more actively keep spreading the message and to be present at the next major design event with the aim of continuing to provide an inclusive platform for talented designers.

When do we need your funds?
We need your funds as soon as possible as Dutch Design Week 2021 takes place between the 16th to the 24th of October 2021!
We are already worked on making all of this possible without funds on a voluntary basis, but with your contribution we can continue the work we are doing, spreading the message of a more inclusive design festival and pay everyone fairly that was involved in bringing this important message out to the public.
