Help to fund Ace’s life saving surgery

Hi everyone, if you don’t know by now, we rescued Ace off the streets a few months ago when he was about 3 months old. He was abused and malnourished by his previous owner and had worms when we first got him. Since we rescued Ace, he has been getting sick, but neither the doctors or us could figure out the exact problem with Ace. They believed it was either a reoccurring allergic reaction or a bacterial infection in his mouth. Within the few months of taking care of Ace we have spent about $3,000 to get his problem checked out, but we received multiple wrong diagnosis’s and as a result, his sickness became severely worse over the past few weeks. Yesterday we had to take him to a special dog doctor where they finally found the cause of the problem. The doctor told us that Ace has a rare bone disease called osteomyelitis which is an inflammatory bone infection where his bone is slowly deteriorating and dying. Unfortunately this problem is occurring in his lower jaw and his jaw is slowly rotting. This has caused Ace to be in excruciating pain as he has not been able to eat or drink as well as walk. He has lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time and currently does not even have the strength to move or walk. He has become completely lethargic over the past few days and we have moved to syringe feeding him now because he is so weak. He is also on medication, but it does not seem to be helping him. The doctors told us that the only way to save Ace would be to get a life saving surgery which would cost at least 7-8k not including aftercare. We were also told that without this surgery Ace only has approximately 2-3 weeks left to live. This was the most devastating and upsetting news we could have gotten and we are all shocked to hear that Ace’s problem is this serious. The doctor also told us that in her 23 years of working she has never seen anything like this. Ace is only 6 months old now and has lived a very hard life up to this point. We are doing everything we can to save him right now and we need all the help we can get to save Ace. We are so blessed to have Ace in our lives and this surgery is necessary for him to survive this disease.
