Help House Deacon Charlie & His Wife Judy Through Hospice

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Ev. I am the oldest son of Deacon Charles and Judy Stanton. I am running this campaign with my brother Joe, and my sister, Becky. Our parents have spent a lifetime of service with the Church and surrounding community (often at their own expense) teaching, living a life of faith, and serving the poor. Now we are in our greatest time of need ever.

My Dad, Deacon Charlie, (formerly Brother Charles Mark) was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney failure and is now bedridden, in hospice here at home. There are so many bills. And now, after all these years, he and Mom face potential foreclosure on their beloved home, as well as bankruptcy if we can't hold on.

My Mom, Judy, is blind and can barely get around the house. Neither of them can drive. Their Social Security checks just aren't making the bills. All of us kids and grandkids have given all the money we have to try to help, but we are just coming up short. We are also their around the clock care and have had to limit our own work hours just to care for them.

As a family, we are asking the Church communities, communities of faith, and the good people we know, (many of whom Dad and Mom served with or joyfully served) to help us keep Mom and Dad in their home while they deal with this chapter in their story.

We need time to help my father all the way through hospice, and to help my mother transition afterwards. The funds we all raise will be put directly into my Mother's bank account to pay the monthly mortgage and insurance. It is approximately $2000 per month, plus approximately $1000 insurance. If we can raise the full goal, it should be enough to keep them in their home until things are finished. That would then give us time to properly fix up and sell their home and settle any outstanding debts through a sale. Any funds left above and beyond the mortgage and sale of the house would help my mother safely transition to my sister's home where we have the means to care for her for the rest of her life.

Thank you for giving to our parents, who have given their whole lives for others. God bless and please share our story with anyone that you feel could help.
