Help to keep our Govan High School History alive!

Our Govan High School friend and school archivist, Ian McCracken, has done a wonderful job for more than a decade compiling thousands of documents and photographs of a century of GHS life, including former pupils of two world wars. His work as a historian has been invaluable in building an accessible, social history of the school and its pupils. Sadly, there is no longer any space for the collection and Ian, hopefully with the help of many volunteers, has a huge job on his hands in funding a move to new premises.

Former pupils and friends, we have all experienced Ian’s enthusiasm and skills over the years and can support his work financially with this project. This fund page has been created to continue the valuable archiving of GHS in its new move.

Please do not think any amount is too small; every donation helps and I’m sure we can pass our goal easily. I have set an initial goal of £1000 but feel confident we can go much further.
