Help to make Keeley’s battle more comfortable

Hi, my name is Kerry and i’m fundraising for my sister, Keeley.
Keeley is a mum of 3 sons and a midwife. About a month ago she was getting some uncomfortable pains in her gallbladder and she went to the doctor, she got sent away saying she had a chest infection, then after a week she went to out of hours and was sent away again, then she went to a & e and asked for bloods done which is where she was told her bloods were deranged, so had to go for a scan as something wasn’t right. A few days later she had the scan, the told her it was most likely liver cancer and she needed a full body scan… she then had the full body scan 5 days later and they wouldn’t let her home, she was told she had cancer, most likely pancreatic and liver. More pressing was they found blood clots in her lungs. She was kept in hospital on iv blood thinners then sent home after two days on blood thinner injections. To then go back in for a biopsy of her liver. This was such a huge shock to us all, you think pancreas cancer.. instant death sentence!
They then said they’d got it wrong…. they was no cancer in the pancreas! they read the scan wrong! we were all thinking.. ok we have something to work with here! But what they didn’t know was where the primary was. So Keeley went in for the liver biopsy results and there we found out it was bowel cancer. she went in for another biopsy, this time on the bowel tumour, back for the results again the following week. She was told she has stage 4 advanced bowel cancer, spread to her liver which is heavily burdened and has a bony cancer on her rib. They said there is no option for surgery to remove any of the cancer. So we thought that maybe she can have immunotherapy but her markers aren’t the right markers to have this on the nhs. They’ve said as she is young to have this it’s almost alway more aggressive in younger people but my sister is a fighter!! Always has been always will be!!They’ve said as she is young, doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke not overweight etc they are going to give her as much as they can to buy her time.
I want to make her time as comfortable as possible, she knows the strong chemo is going to make her feel crappy so she bought herself a sofa bed for downstairs so she doesn’t have to go up stairs. She said she would like a bigger tv to watch movies with her boys.
She has a problem with drainage in her garden, she would love a nice garden to sit out in on good days. A dryer so she doesn’t have to hang out washing. Anything really to make hers and the boys lives easier throughout this.
If her story catches people’s hearts far and wide we would love to try to make enough for immunotherapy privately!
Keeley has worked hard for everything she has! Never asked for hand outs, went to university as an adult to become a midwife, has given everything, the cliche of she would do anything for anyone is wholeheartedly true with her. She just started to live her life again after getting the strength and fleeing a narcissistic marragie of 20 years!
This was supposed to be gallstones not cancer!
She has dressed up every year for my daughters birthdays, she been elsa, a unicorn, little red riding hood, a mermaid, you name it! this year she can’t. She’s vowed to get through to do it again!
Please help in anyway you can to either help make her life more comfortable or eventually send her for immunotherapy to she can have as long as she can with her boys, her family and friends, we aren’t ready to lose her!
Thank you,
Kerry
