Help me fight leukemia

Hi Everyone! As many of you already know I’ve recently been diagnosed with leukemia.

Here’s how my story started.

On July 10, 2022 I went to ER of Aventura Hospital feeling extremely fatigued, dizzy and with no color on my face. I started feeling this way prior to my trip to ER thinking I’m just low on iron or not enough nutrients. After taking supplements I realized nothing was working and I was feeling worse day by day.

In the past 7 days I’ve been going through many tests, mainly blood work I had 2 blood transfusions due to low hemoglobin, bone marrow biopsy, PICC line inserted, and lots of fluids.

Diagnosis was confirmed: Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Since then I was transferred to the different hospital which specializes on these types of cancer.

My emotions are all over the place. I don’t think I fully processed this information yet. Everything seems as just one long nightmare.

Doctors are waiting for the results of bone marrow biopsy to start me on the right treatment. There are days of chemo ahead and feeling sicker.

Am I ready for all this? Probably not. Will I do my best to stay strong and positive? Probably yes.

Since I wrote that post, many things have happened. Today is the day 43 of me being at the hospital. My first chemo treatment didn’t work. My body didn’t respond at all. I’m on a second chemo treatment right now, hoping for much better outcome. My next bone marrow biopsy will show more results, which is sometime next week. During all these chemo sessions I had complications with some other issues. I just recently had a surgery to drain abscess that was formed due to all the chemo meds. Other things are not even worth listing because they seem minor to compare with the rest.

This time is very difficult for me as I’ve been a main provider for my 3 beautiful kids. I tried working from the hospital (as my profession allows) but it’s becoming more and more difficult. I don’t have a set date of when I’ll be back home yet and when I’ll be able to start catching up on my work. In a mean time I’d like to ask you to help me with rent and other household bills. It will allow me to fully focus on my health and hopefully get well even sooner ❤️ I will keep posting updates on my treatments and progress here as well.
