Cancer treatment fuel and parking expenses
Donation protected

This is Jim! As many have learned, I was recently diagnosed with esophagus cancer.
I will soon be starting radiation therapy treatment and chemotherapy treatment. To do this, I will need to drive about 96 miles round trip, and pay for parking in Seattle. I will do this daily for six (6) weeks.
The funds will be used to help purchase gasoline for my car (~$12 per day) . It will also be used to pay for parking, which is $8 - $10 per day, depending on the time of day and duration of my appointment.
Also, my health insurance has co-pay and max out-of-pocket of $6,500.00. So, I could use a little help with the out-of-pocket expenses too.
I have a few friends and family that have offered to help co-pilot my car to and from the hospital/clinics. However, something tells me I could use a few more people to help get me to and from treatment. Please contact me directly if you would like to help ride shotgun and help me out on one of my visits.
Thank you for your consideration.
Jim
UPDATE 2020-10-14:
Many thanks to all who have donated thus far. I really appreciate it. I hope to thank you all in person in the near future. Here is a little update on my status. Today was a long day. Driving from Tacoma to Seattle. Then 4 hours of chemotherapy, plus blood work on Eastlake in Seattle. Next, I went to the proton center at NW Hospital in North Seattle - where they spent about 20 minutes firing protons at me through my back. After the proton therapy, I had to be x-rayed then they did a CAT scan. And then the commute back to Tacoma. The good part is I only have to go to chemotherapy on Wednesdays and go to proton therapy every day (Monday through Friday) for the next 5.5 weeks. Right now I'm losing a pound a week but I'm trying to slow that up now.
