Help to provide free self-soothe boxes
We are two best friends who met (years ago) in a psychiatric ward. During our time in the ward, we both found the self-soothe and self-care boxes extremely helpful in reducing distress and anxiety. We were discussing which items from the self-care/self-soothe boxes we both found beneficial, and from that came the idea of creating ‘Blossom Boxes’ - a carefully considered blend of items which we hope will help people in a similar situations to ours.
We have made the decision to offer Blossom Boxes FREE to absolutely ANYBODY during lockdown. Stress and mental health difficulties are rife, especially during these times, so we would like to reach as many people as we can - particularly people who wouldn’t be in a position to order one for themselves or somebody else if we charged for them.
We’re honoured to be providing Blossom Boxes to the following:
- Ninewells Emergency Department
- Dundee Women’s Aid
- Dundee SAMH
- Ward 1, Carseview Centre
- Fife Council Social Justice Service
Currently, we are paying for everything out of our own pockets but we’re not sure how sustainable this will be in the long-term (depending on demand!). People have been asking about donating, so we have set this up. Please keep in mind it’s very important to us that Blossom Boxes are free and accessible to anybody who would benefit from one, so even if you would like a box for yourself/somebody else, there is absolutely no obligation to donate! This is a completely non-profit project - every penny raised will go towards making more boxes!
Thank you in advance!

Ps. Below are the items which are included in each box (colours will vary).
