Help to Raise funds for the Prostheses

Hi, My name is Dmytro Oseledko. I'm from Mariupol, Ukraine.

I'm 22 years old. Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I lived with my mom, 12-year Sophia, and Sophia's mom. I was working at the tech store and saving up to become a video game designer. I just finished undergrad school, and my life was actually very happy. However, as we know, February 24th, 2022 changed the lives of all the Ukrainians, including myself.

 

Unfortunately, we didn't have an opportunity to evacuate from Mariupol as it was surrounded by the Russian soldiers and constantly bombed by the Russian airforce. One day, one of the bombs made it to our house too. My mom and Sophia's mom was killed on the spot. Sophia died later in the hospital. I survived, but I've lost two legs. Some kind people found a way to drag me out and delivered me to a local military hospital, where the doctors managed to save my life. Then my uncle found a way to get me out of the city to a more safe place, where I had surgery and now recovering.

 

I've never thought that I would be in a situation where I have to ask for help. Many people reached out and helped me cover the surgeries and some of the recovery process; I'm extremely grateful for that. Now my condition is stable, and I can think clearly. However, I still need help to collect funds for the prostheses for both of my legs. It is a costly procedure, and now, the reality of war makes it nearly impossible to earn such funds on such short notice.
