Help To Save Northwich Men In Sheds

Mid Cheshire Community Shed, which began life in 2009 as Hartford Men in Sheds, was the first of its type to open in the UK.

The Shed’s aim is to promote social inclusion for people, male and female, within the Cheshire area, from becoming socially excluded by providing a place to go and meet like minded people on a social level.

The Shed provides facilities in which you can meet to undertake, jointly or individually, creative, physical or recreational activities. Learn or pass on skills and knowledge and support each other in order to improve the general health, mental healrh and wellbeing of our members.

But a lack of ongoing funding has left the Hartford based Shed with an uncertain future.

Currently just running costs are about £2,000 per month, and at the moment The Shed is only getting around £1,000. Their reserves have dropped tremendously.
