Help to save my mother's life

Hi, my name is César, I have been living in Ireland for the past 9 years. I'm fundraising to raise money to help fund a brain tumour surgery for my mother.

Funds use: The funds will be used to cover the overall costs of the hospital, including the surgery needed. Latest estimated treatment cost received:

Diagnosis: highly compatible with a benign meningioma in the posterior fossa of the brain measuring 42 x 36 mm in diameter. The surgery needs to be done by May 2023 or sooner.

Cora, my mother, is a 64-year-old woman with two sons, my older brother and me.

A single mother. Born and living in Caracas, Venezuela, and an older sister of two.

Cora is the noblest person I have ever met in my life, and I am not saying this because she is my mother but because of all the love she receives from the people she has interacted with throughout her life. 

A woman who has overcome very difficult situations throughout her life, she had already undergone a brain tumour surgery 17 years ago. She has always maintained the best attitude towards life. With a spirituality that keeps her on her feet and guides her in her way of being towards others and in her day to day life.

From her, I have learned to forgive and to always act with integrity. To be kind and to always be willing to understand others. My mother is a person with a kind and sweet heart, beyond what can be explained in words. She is always willing to give love. A being of light and peace.

My mother has been an indispensable pillar in my life, even though I am thousands of kilometres away from her, her words of love and faith have always accompanied me throughout the 9 years since I live in Ireland, she has encouraged me to keep going in the face of any obstacle. She has taught me to believe that good things will always come if we harvest and desire them that way.

I wish that life blesses her with health so that she can continue achieving her dreams.

The photo was taken in Venezuela on May 2022 before I took my flight back to Ireland after 9 years of not seeing my mother and family.

Cora es la persona más noble que he conocido en mi vida, y no lo digo por ser mi madre sino por todo el cariño que recibe de las personas con las que ha interactuado a lo largo de su vida.

Una mujer que ha superado situaciones muy difíciles a lo largo de su vida, ya había sido operada de un tumor cerebral hace 17 años. Siempre ha mantenido la mejor actitud ante la vida. Con una espiritualidad que la mantiene en pie y la guía en su forma de ser hacia los demás y en su día a día.

Mi madre ha sido un pilar indispensable en mi vida, aunque estoy a miles de kilómetros de ella, sus palabras de amor y fe siempre me han acompañado a lo largo de los 9 años que llevo viviendo en Irlanda, me ha animado a seguir adelante frente a cualquier obstáculo. Ella me ha enseñado a creer que las cosas buenas siempre vendrán si las cosechamos y las deseamos de esa manera.

Deseo que la vida la bendiga con salud para que pueda seguir logrando sus sueños.

La foto fue tomada en Venezuela en mayo de 2022 antes de tomar mi vuelo de regreso a Irlanda después de 9 años sin ver a mi madre y mi familia.
