Help and support for baby Jhett

Hello. My name is Katy and I’m the mother to Jhett. I never thought I would ever have to ask for help like this. I was 27w6days when I started with preeclampsia with a blood pressure of 180/122. I was at a hospital in Nashua and was told by doctors that I needed to be transferred to another hospital that can treat me. I was sent up to Lebanon and everything seemed to be fine. I was able to have a visit with my parents and was planning to go home in a couple days. Clearly that did not happen. I had a grand mal seizure and my preeclampsia was now turned in eclampsia. I was on the phone luckily with my mother when my seizure started so doctors were able to tell her to drive up immediately. My c-section went well. Jhett was born weighing 2lbs 0.5oz. He is a fighter and doing well. However, I am out of work for a few weeks and I did not qualify at my job for FMLA and short term disability so funds are very very tight. Without some help I will not be able to drive to the Intensive Care Nursery to see Jhett which truly tears me apart after everything we have gone through together. I want him to know that I am always there for him and the relief I get just from holding him on my chest helps of the PTSD and trauma go away. There is a place for me to stay up there for free so I don’t need to worry about a place to stay while visiting him. Driving up to him and preparing for him to possibly come home in March are my main concerns. Any amount will truly help myself and Jhett. I truly thank you for even reading our story. God bless.
