Please Help Send Sergio Back Home to his family in Guatemala

Esta recaudación de fondos es para mi sobrino, Sergio Adán Xinico Batz. Sergio estaba lleno de vida y tenía un futuro brillante por delante. Era amable, divertido, inteligente y muchas cosas más. Uno de sus sueños era viajar por Los Estados Unidos y ver cosas nuevas. Estaba viviendo su sueño hasta que ocurrió la tragedia el sábado del 21 de Septiembre. Sergio y sus amigos fueron a visitar Virginia Beach y fueron arrastrados al mar por una corriente de resaca. No fue encontrado hasta el martes siguiente. Sus amigos fueron encontrados días antes. Dejó un gran vacío en los corazones rotos de todos los que lo conocieron. Tenía sólo 22 años y le quedaba mucho más para dar.

Mientras los restos de mi sobrino están aquí en Los Estados Unidos, él tiene muy poca familia aquí. Su verdadero hogar está en Guatemala, de donde es la mayoría de su familia. Es muy caro enviarlo de regreso a casa, y ninguno de nosotros estaba ni mentalmente ni económicamente preparado para que esta dulce alma nos deja tan pronto. Si pudieran encontrar en sus corazones el deseo de ayudar a Sergio a regresar a casa, apreciaremos todo lo que puedan dar durante este momento triste. Todos los fondos recaudados se destinarán a enviar a Sergio a casa y, si superamos la meta, algo adicional se destinará a su funeral y a sus padres. This fundraiser is for my nephew, Sergio Adan Xinico Batz. Sergio was full of life and had a bright future ahead of him. He was kind, funny, smart and so many more good things. One of his dreams was to travel the United States and see new things. He was living his dream until tragedy struck on Saturday. Sergio and his friends went to visit Virginia Beach, and were pulled out to sea by a rip current. He was not found until the following Tuesday. His friends were found days prior. He left a gaping hole in the now broken hearts of everyone that knew him. He was only 22 years old and had so much more left to give.

While my nephew's remains are here in the United States, he only has a handful of family here. His true home is in Guatemala, where the majority of his family is from. It is very expensive to send him back home, and none of us were neither mentally nor financially prepared for this sweet soul to leave us so soon. If you could find it in your hearts to help, we will appreciate anything that you can give during this sad time. Any funds raised will go to sending Sergio home, and if we surpass the goal, the rest will go towards his funeral and to his parents. Please share this as much as you can, and God bless you.
