Help to support Erica Sime

Hi everyone.. We are reaching out on behalf of our best friend, Erica Sime, who was involved in a horrific car accident on August 26th, 2023. She was sitting in the passenger seat of a car when it collided into a tractor trailer, causing the car to spin and hit into the median. During this she was ejected onto the LIE. Upon her arrival at the hospital, she was immediately given a blood transfusion due to the amount of blood that was lost. Doctors were unsure if they’d be capable of saving her arm due to how severe the damages were. They have done multiple surgeries in attempts to piece the fragments of her shoulder and elbow together. She spent 2 weeks in Surgical ICU after countless attempts at reconstructing her arm and lower half of her face. She has 9 broken ribs one in which punctured her heart and another her lung. Her world has been turned upside down, and she's been confronted with many obstacles. We are unsure of what the future holds for her at this time and how this will continue to affect her in the months and years to come. Due to the capacity of her injuries, she will remain unable to work for some time.
