Help to Walk again with two Micro Process Legs
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Jhalak Poudyel. I am the eldest in the family and was born in Bhutan and have lived in the Beldangi II camp for over two decades. As one of the eldest and only sons in the family, I took all the responsibility and decided to come to the US in 2012.
Currently, living with my parents and am married to my beautiful wife Kumari Bhandari and had two sons. One is 6 (Ryan) and another is years 9 (Reyansh) in PA. Thinking about the future of my kids and family. I had chosen my career as a CDL driver, but later I chose to drive the Cargo Van interstate.
With the hope of making extra money and support my family started to work days and nights. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident in Iowa. I was admitted to the hospital for over two months in Coma. I didn't know what had happened that day and how the accident happened. After two months of Coma when I found myself I had lost both legs over my knee and had open stomach surgery to the chest. I was cracked into many pieces that day. I have lost all hope. The dream was scattered around me thinking about the life of my two kids and family. I still feel like it's the worst day of my life and a nightmare. However, I didn't lose hope. I have my wife and family to support. I also think about the life of my kids. Whom I saw now growing in front of me while I'm in a wheelchair.
Long story short, as mentioned I'm in a wheelchair. For me to get out of the wheelchair. I have also talked with Medicate, but it only covered prosthetic legs which are so heavy and not suitable for me based on my health status. Per the doctor's recommendation, I need Micro Processes knees which cost 35k each and I can't afford them at this moment. You may ask why not go through the insurance, I understand that but after a month of evaluation, it was found to be my fault. I'm still stuck by all these things that have happened to me in a very short period. Even though I have a very long story to tell, the saying below reminds me each day “From every wound, there is a scar, and every scar tells a story. A story that says, "I survived.” — Craig Scott.
Exactly, at least I survived and now asking for your love and support so I can get out of the wheelchair.
I'm raising this campaign for myself in the hope of getting little support. Please do support me as little as you can. Your support is only the option I have so I can walk again in my life.
