Help Todd Fight Rare Bone Marrow Cancer

Please join us in supporting our friend & brother Todd Shuman.  Todd received the unexpected news that he had cancer back in September.  He went in for routine blood work because he didn't quite have the energy that he was used to.  The doctor called and said he needed to head to a hematologist. With hesitation he scheduled his appointment.  Weeks later after many tests Todd was diagnosed with an incurable and rare blood cancer that is in his bone marrow, called multiple myeloma. 

There are different stages, different kinds and lots of factors.  Todd has the cancer in over 90% of his bone marrow and has a rare kind that only 15% get.  He began treatment shortly after with chemo and a couple of immunotherapies. 

Todd is expected to undergo a bone marrow transplant at the beginning of 2025. It is a brutal procedure that will be incredibly difficult for him and his family. During that time, he will need to remain close to the hospital & will be receiving the treatment away from their home and children.  They will be gone 5-6 weeks – as well as the additional expense of hotels, travel and loss of income for both of them as Briana will also be taking that time off to be by his side.

My brother is a fighter, a protector, and embodies the motto "work hard, play hard" with his sarcastic humor, positive attitude, and relentless drive to achieve his goals. He is known among his friends & family for his unwavering strength and has a larger-than-life personality. We know the financial burden is overwhelming, and want Todd to focus on healing and fighting this battle without the added stress of mounting medical bills.
