Help Todd Hargosh Get His Car Repaired & Business Running

Donation protected
JULY 19 UPDATE: Just when I thought things were getting better for me, something comes back to bite me in the rear. Today while at work, I noticed the transmission to my car was acting up, but then eventually went out on me. The car acts like it won't get out of first gear and I had to take it to a repair shop to get it worked on. Sadly they can't do anything until Monday so I am unable to work this weekend which really hurts me.

There is a bright side though. My car was still under warranty, and the transmission is covered. However it does require a $100 deductible. That is, unless it has to go to the dealership, because if it does then, I saw in my GM Warranty/Recall information that my car had an issue with pulley damage to the transmission, and if that's the case, it was under warranty for another year, meaning the repairs will be covered pro bono. But still, it's still going to hurt me with a lack of work, so it pains me to do so, but I am reinstating my GoFundMe. However I will be dropping the goal from $1,000 to just $750 to hopefully cover my expenses for this week. I'm hoping by then the car will be repaired and I'll be back on the road again. Anything you can do for me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

JULY UPDATE: I wanted to let you all know that thanks to your generosity I was able to get myself a new car. I have been back to work since Friday of last week and business has actually improved since before my last car died on me. As a result, I will be putting this GoFundMe to an end, and again, thank you all so very much for your help. It really means the world to me.

Hello. My name is Todd Hargosh. I am 50 years old and based out of Reston, Virginia. I come here today as I have fallen upon some hard times. For the past 5 years I am self employed with my own mobile courier business. It all started back in 2019 when my job of 22 years was starting to cut hours, and eventually came to an end at early 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in my job being furloughed. Despite the furlough I ventured on with my courier business to the point that it is now my full time career. I love my job and seeing the reaction from my customers when they receive their wares, as it helps get me through the day.
However, this career comes at a price, as I use my own vehicle. Earlier this evening (June 22, 2024,) my car officially broke down and will not be able to start. I had someone look at the car and he thought the same thing I did, a failed alternator. I will find out more when I have it sent to my local garage on Monday but even if it is, I won't have enough by the end of the month to cover both the repairs and to pay the rent for next month. I really do not want to end up leaving where I live because I love my place of residence and would have nowhere else to go.
It took me a lot of courage to come up with this GoFundMe, as I am usually not one to have others pay for me, but this is a desperate time for me. I will also be streaming game videos on YouTube that will hopefully draw some interest in my cause, and will post the links when I go online. At the moment I have set a goal of $1,000 which should hopefully cover the cost of the repairs so that when my car is fixed I can get back to my job and hopefully have enough to cover the rent in time. I know it's a lot of ask of others, but anything, even word of mouth of this situation, will be greatly appreciated.

I thank you all for your time, and for all your support.
