Help Tom and Elisa’s Family

Hello, we are a group of Mums who would like to help another family in our friend group and village.

I’ve created this fund me page to spread the word about what has happened to this lovely family, seek help for them, stop it happening to someone else and to hopefully raise funds to help this family back on their feet again and rectify the awful workmanship.

Elisa’s story:

In Sept 2023 we fell pregnant with our second child and so we decided to proceed with an extension that we had received planning permission for from Cotswolds Council. We instructed Simon Ascoli, owner of Cotswolds Construction Partnership Ltd to build what was going to be a beautiful extension in October 2023. We thought we had done our due diligence and visited other projects the company was doing which all seemed fine.

Unfortunately our pregnancy wasn’t mean to be and 4 days before Christmas we gave birth to our sleeping son at 17 weeks gestation. This was devastating enough. However following this, it has transpired that our builder, Mr Simon Ascoli, has now disappeared, knowingly taken majority our life savings and leaving our forever home unliveable and structurally unsafe. It has been confirmed that the steels holding our house up are bowing under the weight and they are not sufficient. Our roof is sagging and who knows what else. The image shows how our house has been left.

Our family has been ripped apart, myself and our son having to stay in London with parents and Tom my partner living in the one liveable room in the house to facilitate meetings with structural engineers, builders, trades etc to see what can be done to rectify the issues and get our family back together again.

I write this as a warning to be cautious if getting into business with a Mr Simon Ascoli, who’s business is now in liquidation (which we were not made aware of) and may create a new business/es. I say this on behalf of tradesmen and companies I know he also owes money to (having taken ours and not paid them). He also owned a Supercar repair shop ‘Heritage Racing’ in Bourton on the Water but closed that down in January this year.

I also write this asking for help if anyone knows who and where he is so he can face some justice for what he has done. He lived on Rissington Road in Bourton on the Water but we found out had sold that house the day he disappeared. I cannot explain the devastation he has caused our family, leaving us with pennies in comparison to how much work is needed to rectify the problems and finish the build. We have no idea when we will have our home back and be together as a family again.
