Help Tom Browe - Barn Raising Fund
Hello
We are raising money for my father, Tom Browe.
Tom's house burned to the ground on August 10th. Unfortunately, dad did not have insurance.
My father was not home when the fire started, but his wife, their two dogs and three cats were.
Luckily, his wife Wendy and their two dogs managed to get out in time, the cats haven't been located.
We have a group of carpenters ready and willing to build a pole barn for Tom, an incredible act of love!
This campaign is to raise money for building materials and Tom himself.
For those of you who have not met Tom, let me tell you a little about him.
My dad is the hardest working man I have ever known. He has sacrificed so much for our family, his friends and his country.
He is a combat veteran (Vietnam), and as a VFW member, he works to help fellow vets and lend an understanding ear when necessary.
He retired from Medusa Cement in Charlevoix.
As a father, he was all I could ever ask for, full of understanding and patience. I sure put his patience to the test...
We might not have always had everything we wanted, but we had everything we needed, and we always knew we were loved.
That was due solely to his tremendous work ethic and loving heart.
I have witnessed my father help others, even when it was a great hardship for him, no questions asked and no thanks necessary.
That is who my father is.
A man who loves selflessly and truly cares for others, for the right reasons.
I'll give you an example,
As we stood there that night, watching his home go up in smoke, he was actually consoling us!
He was making jokes and hugging us. Telling us that things would be ok. Trying to bring comfort to those who came to comfort him.
My father lost his retirement in this fire as well as his home.
He was a collector of antiques and curiosities. Those who knew him well enough to visit his home, know just how much was lost.
Now is the time to step up and show this man that he is loved and appreciated, that his tireless dedication to others was not in vain, that good things can happen for a man who is too humble to ask for help himself.
Please, join me in showing him something special.
I believe in miracles and here is an opportunity to prove that ordinary people, you and I, can make a difference in this world.
Much of our life is out of our control... this is an opportunity to take control and say, No, I will not stand by silently and see a good man suffer alone!
God bless you and thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
Donations of building materials are appreciated, every penny received will go to Tom Browe.
